Summer wedding at Stones of the Yarra Valley

Jason and Susanna

Set at one of our all time favorite venue’s, Jason and Susanna’s summer wedding was held at Stones of the Yarra Valley. With a focus on a relaxed but sophisticated vibe, Jason and Susanna wanted a neutral colour pallet that would compliment the gorgeous greenery around the venue.

Having seen some of my previous work, Susanna liked the idea of a large floral back drop for their ceremony in the Chapel. It was important to the couple that the flowers were a stand out feature of their wedding, that the flowers would determine the overall style of the wedding. We used them in abundance throughout the Chapel and the barn.

The flowers were locally sourced and seasonal and all installations and displays were made with a sustainability focus with no floral foam used.

In the barn we wanted to have a dramatic display hanging over the bridal party to create wow factor, an enormous floral chandelier was hung in the middle of the room. The chandelier was perfectly framed by the ceremony flowers as you entered the party.

The reception tables were filled with over grown arrangements spilling onto the table, extra greenery was added to the tables to make it look like the greenery was growing down the center. Loads of candles were used and they gave a lovely cozy effect as night drew and it got dark outside.

Jason and Susanna’s wedding was featured on Whimsical Wonderland Wedding blog, you can see it here.

“Our florist Zoe was just the best, we didn’t have to say much to her, she just did her thing and it honestly exceeded all our expectations, we were very blessed to work with her.”
