Stones of the Yarra Valley

Katherine and JC’s relaxed, fun wedding

Katherine and JC got married at the iconic Stones of the Yarra Valley in what was a relaxed and quirky wedding full of personal touches.

Self proclaimed Pokémon nerds, they wanted to feature some of their favourite characters without it looking gimmicky. They wanted their wedding to have lots of personality in a relaxed and cohesive way. Kath engaged our services for both flowers and styling, we produced all of her wedding stationery and signage including Pokémon themed table numbers and organised extra items such as linen and acrylic place cards.

Using loads of textured and wild greenery, teamed with classic white flowers, a large floral ring was the back drop to their intimate ceremony held in the Stones Chapel. Rose petals and candles decorated the base of the wreath and extended the display. The wreath was then moved and hung in the entrance to the barn.

Wild green displays sat behind the bespoke acrylic welcome sign and seating chart designed and hand made by Zoe, at I Heart Flowers. Sage green table napkins with silver acrylic place cards and handmade Pokémon cookies adorned each place setting, the cookies were specially made by friends, adding more personal elements.

Wild green and white table flowers and an enormous hanging floral chandelier decorated the barn, giving it a relaxed feel but cosy feel. Lots of candles were used including some pale blue ones to add a hint of colour in what was otherwise a very neutral wedding.

“All I can say is THANKYOU SO MUCH ZOE! I could not be more thankful to have her on my team for our big day. She was our florist, stylist and planner all in one - with so many helpful tips to get us through the process, making it so much easier. She was a dear friend by the end of the journey - making our day beyond beautiful and enhancing our vision to it’s best version”
