A Lush overgrown wedding set up at Rupert on Rupert in Collingwood
For Bow Creative editorial shoot
I was lucky enough to be the Kath from Bow Creative’s wedding florist. With a dream of becoming a wedding planner and stylist she asked me to do florals for a series of editorial shoots to kick start her new business. We had worked so well together on her own wedding I was delighted to assist her, she came us with some great concepts and I knew her business was going to be a success.
Kath’s design was for a lush overgrown look filled with greenery, flowers and pops of blue. She wanted out of the ordinary textures and shapes with lots of fresh tonal elements and was happy for me to let my creativity loose. I loved working on this job and spent some time wandering my local suburb stealing weeds and other interesting bits of greenery to elevate our design. It was a lovely time for flowers with loads of locally grown delphinium, hydrangeas and Dahlias available from my growers. Kath doesn’t love roses, there have been many jobs we have worked on together where she stipulated no use of roses. This is always an interesting challenge as they are a go to flower for me, I use a lot of them in my work, happy to oblige, we came up with a good collection of shapes and textures.
I particularly loved the hanging Amaranthus, ornamental kale and green persimmon branches.
