Hey there, I’m Zoe the founding director of I Heart Flowers.
I’ve had a love affair with flowers for as long as I can remember. They say when you love what you do you don’t work a day in your life. Thats not exactly true as an event florist, it has to be one of the hardest gigs going around, but when I’m playing with flowers, it’s utter joy.
One of my favorite things about living in the Dandenongs is watching the changing seasons, I get so excited when spring arrives and the first Rhododendrons and Camellias bloom, knowing that next will be the lilac and snow ball. Part of sourcing flowers locally means purchasing seasonally available stock, it’s exciting because what’s available changes week to week.
My favorite clients are always the ones that trust us to work our magic, guide us with their favorite colours or flower but then just let us do our thing. You always get the best result this way, we are only interested in producing fabulousness so you know whatever we produce is going to be exciting!
For many years I have been working alongside Jo, our very talented English florist, who very quickly became an integral part of I Heart Flowers, which then led her to become co-owner during the last few years. I am excited for Jo to be taking the lead as I take a step back. I know Jo will continue to nurture I Heart Flowers for many years to come. Don’t worry, I will still be lurking in the background for some time.
